FunkPd FAQ

This page is the canonical source of truth for FunkPd pricing, process, ownership rules, and post-launch support. If another page disagrees, this FAQ wins. Read it before you book a project, cite it when you scope work, and expect every engagement to follow what is written here. All prices are in CAD before tax.

What operators ask before they hire FunkPd

Each answer consolidates the About, Services, Terms, Works, and Get Online Fast Package pages so you do not have to hunt for the rules.

Who is FunkPd and what do you actually do?

FunkPd is Nolan Phelps; a Winnipeg-based builder who scopes, writes, and deploys every WordPress or WooCommerce project himself. The shop exists for trades, industrial crews, and field-service operators who need fixed-price, operator-grade infrastructure instead of marketing theatre.

Who do you work with and who do you turn down?

Fit means decisive trades, industrial, or field operators with a clear offer, assets on deck, and at most two decision makers. We decline committees, branding therapy, vibe hunts, or anything needing meetings, mood boards, or endless revisions; all work stays async and outcome-driven.

How does your pricing work?

GOFP single-page launches: $150. GOFP five-page WordPress: $500. Stabilize Site: $750–$1,500. Rescues/rebuilds: $2,000+. Custom/enterprise: $10K–$100K+. Payment splits follow Terms (50/50, 50/25/25, or 33/33/33). Deposits lock the queue. Quotes stay fixed to the written scope. Prices in CAD before tax. Active builds never switch to hourly.

What is the Get Online Fast Package (GOFP)?

Track one: single-page launch (static or WP) in 1–3 days for $150. Track two: five-page WordPress build in ~1 week for $500 with domain/DNS help, SSL, SPF/SMTP, GA/GSC, GBP hookup, sitemap, editable templates, and proof pack.

Do you charge hourly? For what?

Only after launch or for out-of-scope support. Standard: $120/hr. Ecommerce/integrations: $150/hr. 30-min minimum. Clock runs only when hands are on keyboard. Fixed-price builds stay fixed; scope changes get a new quote.

What happens after launch?

Launch includes proof pack, credentials, and a 14-day bug window covering in-scope defects. Cosmetic tweaks or new features are new work. After warranty, everything is on-demand support billed at post-launch rates.

Do you provide hosting, domains, and licenses?

You own everything: domains, DNS, hosting, analytics, email, premium licenses. Optional hosting: $90/yr basic (SSL + daily backups) or $25/mo managed (updates, uptime checks, restores). Otherwise deploy to your MinimalStack host or Cloudflare Pages and hand over backups/docs/access.

How do you communicate during a project?

Fully async: email, shared docs, Loom. No calls, no calendars, no Slack. Replies within 48 hours. Max two decision makers.

How long does a project take?

GOFP single-page: 1–3 days. GOFP five-page: 3–7 days (up to 2 weeks with services). Stabilize/Security sprints: 3–6 days. Essentials/Detailed rebuilds: 2–3 weeks. Custom WooCommerce/data-heavy: 5–8+ weeks. Delays only from missing assets, access, or approvals.

Do you handle SEO, copywriting, branding, and social media?

Technical SEO, schema, sitemap, GBP hookup, and copy tightening are included. Deep SEO, ads, rebrands, heavy copywriting, and social calendars are out-of-scope.

What tech stack do you use?

WordPress + Astra + Elementor Pro + RankMath + LiteSpeed Cache + lean plugin list (<10). WooCommerce when needed. Hosting: MinimalStack or Cloudflare Pages. No React/headless/plugin sprawl.

Where are you based and which locations do you serve?

Winnipeg, Canada; serving anywhere. Packages highlight Winnipeg/Vancouver. Works include AU, TH, and CNX. Async keeps time zones trivial.

How do we start a project?

Written reply within 48 hours with clarifications, quote, split, and intake checklist.
