Context
Honeymoon Backpackers was an early large-scale project that opened the door to a major client chain: Minetek, Fanquip, Actiwork, Actisafe. The job came through Monique, a contact met while traveling in northern Thailand. She had an existing WordPress.com setup that needed a full overhaul.
Problem
The original site was outdated, bloated, and spread across multiple providers: WordPress.com, GoDaddy, SiteGround, all partially active and hard to manage. Content was there, but scattered. The design didn’t reflect the travel experience or build trust with site visitors.
What We Did
Led the rebuild with full-stack control; used Elementor and Hello theme to recreate the site from scratch. Migrated content, cleaned up structure, and optimized the site for performance on mobile-first tourist data plans. Worked with a visual designer to push the frontend further than previous projects. Delivered a launch-ready, content-rich platform with blog, booking funnel, and travel media integration.
Result
The site ran fast, looked sharp, and reflected the business clearly; it stood up during active marketing pushes and helped validate referrals down the line. This build directly contributed to FunkPd securing larger commercial work.
